Hello, and Welcome!

I’m Sofia, a Seattle wedding and elopement photographer blending European artistry with an editorial approach rooted in real emotion and timeless storytelling.

Growing up in St. Petersburg, Russia, surrounded by architecture, symmetry, and timeless design shaped my eye for composition. Being immersed in a city known for its classical architecture and visual culture taught me to notice light, balance, and detail long before I ever picked up a camera.

In 2013, I moved to the United States in pursuit of my own version of the American Dream. Years later, in Washington State, I found photography and with it, a creative language that finally felt like home. Today, I photograph weddings and elopements across the United States. For me, photography is not just about how something looks, but how it feels when you return to it years later.

My work blends editorial wedding photography with a natural, documentary approach. I focus on genuine connection, refined composition, and moments that unfold organically. Nothing overly staged or forced. The result is imagery that feels effortless, elevated, and deeply personal, whether I am documenting a Seattle wedding, an Oregon elopement, or an intimate destination celebration.

I’ve always been drawn to walkable cities, which is one of the reasons I chose to build my life here in Seattle. I love starting my mornings with good coffee, wandering through neighborhoods, and observing how light moves through the city.

Outside of photography, I’m drawn to tactile, creative work like pottery, as well as thrifting and furniture flipping. I appreciate natural materials, thoughtful design, and pieces with character and history. That same appreciation carries into my work, where I aim to create images that feel honest, refined, and lasting.

If you’re looking for a photographer who combines an editorial eye with genuine emotion and a calm, thoughtful presence, I would be honored to document your story.
